1. Information We Collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
• Content you create or upload: projects, book titles, series plans, drafts, marketing copy, and documents you upload for processing.
• Sales data you import: KDP reports, ASINs, and the sales and royalty figures in them.
• Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and your plan. We never see or store your card number.
• Free download requests: when you request a free resource, we collect your first name, email address, and the campaign that brought you to us.
• Usage records: which features you use and when, so we can apply plan limits and send emails that match your activity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to run the service, apply your plan's limits, process payments, send the emails described in section 5, answer your questions, and improve AuthorCommand.ai. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

3. AI Features and Your Content

When you use an AI feature, the content you submit is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the result. We use Google's paid API service, under which Google does not use your prompts or the responses to improve its products. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not show your drafts, plans, or strategies to other users.

4. Service Providers

We rely on these companies to run AuthorCommand.ai. Each receives only what it needs for its job:

• Netlify: website hosting.
• Neon: database hosting.
• Stripe: payment processing.
• Google (Gemini API): AI features, as described in section 3.
• Resend: sending email.
• ImprovMX: forwarding replies sent to our email addresses.

We also request public book information and cover images from Amazon using the ASINs you provide. These providers are located in or process data in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Emails We Send

We send account and payment emails, such as receipts and password resets. We also send product emails, such as a welcome message, getting-started tips, plan limit notices, a weekly summary, and a note if you have been away for a while. Every product email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. Account and payment emails continue while you have an account.

6. Public Profiles

Your profile is private by default. If you choose to make it public, the profile information you choose to show can be seen by anyone with the link.

7. Cookies and Browser Storage

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser stores some of your Academy progress locally. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

8. Data Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and our database provider encrypts stored data. We limit access to the people and services that need it. No online service can promise perfect security, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its content, email hello@authorcommand.ai from the address on your account. We complete deletion within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

10. Your Rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@authorcommand.ai. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we process your data and to complain to your local data protection authority. Your data is processed in the United States.

11. Children

AuthorCommand.ai is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make a material change, we will email you before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
